BILATERAL NETWORK
A bilateral element has same relation between voltage and current for the two possible directions of the current.
Example: Resistor.
UNILATERAL NETWORK
A unilateral element has different relation between voltage and current for the two possible directions of the current.
Example: si and ge diods,vaccum diods.
