AC SUPPLY BECAUSE IT IS ALTERNATING ONE AND IT CAN CHANGE
DIRECTION AND CAN CHANGE BOTH MAGNITUDE AND DIRECTION. SO
SUPPLY OF HIGH VOLT CAN BE REDUCED TO LOW VOLT AND THEN
GIVE TO A DOMESTIC PURPOSE. SUPPLY OF 240V IS GIVEN TO A HOUSES.
IF DC IS GIVEN THEN HIGH VOLT CAN NOT ABLE TO REDUCE TO 240V
HENCE THERE IS A CHANCE OF BURN OUT OF THE METER
