In case of 3 phase motor why it is called single phasing by failure of one phare unless there is rest two phase are acting. ?
Answer Posted / satya dev
Basically 3 Lines are connected to the motor for operation
that is known as Line1, Line2 and Line-3 or L1, L2 and
L3.and the voltage between L1-L2, L2-L3 and L3-L1 are
called Phases. During the single phasing actualy one Line
has failed so two phases will be down and one phase will be
acting thast why it is called single phasing. single
phasing means one line failed and it will resulted two
phase dead only one phase can active.
