what is the change over switch ,switch disconnector ,bypass
switch and switch disconnector fuse unit?
Answer Posted / bhanu
change over switch, which is used to change the source of
power, there are four connection points( terminals) in a
change over switch,Example:- you can connect DG power &
board power as input terminals then connect output
terminals to the load ( just like two switches inter
connected by mechanically or electrically, at a time one
switch will ON & other is in OFF position)
Switch disconnector/ switch disconnector fuse unit :- in
old days the main switches( SFU- Switch fuse unit) out put
terminals& fuses are mechanically connected when switch is
in OFF position but in SDF/SD when the switch is OFF
position there is no any connection between input/ out put
terminals & fuses.
Bypass switch - it is just like an ON/OFF switch , if any
auto linked circuit connections are failure you can use a
switch to make the circuit complete.
