What is the basic difference between Latches and Flip flops?
Answer Posted / m.fathima
FLIPFLOP:flipflop works on the basis of clock pulse.it is a
edge trigerred,it means that output and next state input
changes when there is a change in clock pulse it may a +ve
or -ve clockpulse.flipflop has 2 values.clocked latches are
called flipflop.
LATCH:It works on the basis of enable fuction input.it is a
level trigerred,it mean that the output of present state and
input of the next state depends on the level that is binary
input '0' or '1' .latches has only one value.it is flipflop
without clock.
