For any device the rating is given based on the losses occur
in it (loss is nothing but heat).In transformer 2 types of
losses occur 1.core losses: which depends on V &
2.cu losses: which depends on I only
but no losses depends on p.f.
therefore trasformer rating proportional to VI or VA
for large transformers the rating in kilo or mega ,hence
KVA or MVA

temp of cast resin 1500kva tx formerwent up to 138.c but came down very fast to about 100.c within 20 mins when load was reduced from 70% to 60%
