I through 1st round of interview in manual testing, now in the 2nd round i have written test and oral, what to expect in written test & what is the basic salary can i expect? i have only 1 yr experience and took break for more than 5 years.

Hi All,
Second round may be conducted by some Senior Guys in
Testing (From Job Offering Company).
In General the Written Test will be conducted as a First
round and Then Oral interview will be conducted later.
Ok Anyway For you 2nd round is Written Test and Oral.
In Written Test you can expect the questions from “Basic
Testing Practice” similar to ISTQB Foundation Level
Certification questions.
If you through this Written Test then senior people may ask
you questions Testing Basics
Like:
What is regression testing?
What is retesting?
What is Test Case Template?
What are the contents of Test Plan?
Bug/Defect Life Cycle?
Some questions on Defect tracking?
What is, meant by Sanity Testing and Smoke Testing and
Difference between then?
Examples for Defects with different Priority and Severity?
Your past company testing process
Your past company reporting hierarchy
Some questions basing on your resume and previous projects?
Some questions basing on your skill set?
Some questions they may ask on SDLC and STLC.
They also ask you the best practices that you implemented
in your previous job.
They may give some examples to write test cases like Coffee
machine, Lift, ATM machine..etc.
Some basic questions may come from Load and Performance
Testing?
If you have automation experience(On QTP, Silk Tools) then
some basic scripts they may ask to write..
Some questions may come from configuration management like
Check-in, Checkout procedures..etc.
Testing Terminology like alpha testing, beta Testing..etc,
Software Release process…etc.,
Try to remember the first round questions, because from
those questions you can guess what skill they are expecting
from you. Then Try to focus on that area.
