Subnetting means dividing a particular network ID to small segments of networks. Sub-netted will work as Individual Networks.
Subnet Mask is a value which defines Network portion of any IP. Like in case of the IP 123.50.16.230 here in this IP address it's subnet mask is 255.0.0.0 means first octet is network portion.
