Tray column is used in Industries predominatly??

1.the selection of type of column is based on man design
constrains
2. if dia of column is less than 0.6 m packed bed is preffered
and it gives low pressure drop, high liquid hold up
3. tray column gives high pressure drop and suitable for dia
more than 0.6m
