what is the difference between drift current and diffusion
current.
Answer Posted / nsolanki
Drift Current: is the carrier drift due to external electric
field. is proportional to total carriers.
Diffusion Current: is due to charge concentration gradient
due to different phenomenons(light/temperature/electric
field) which generate the hole-electron pair in the bulk of
the doped silicon (either n or p). (Diffusion current is not
restricted to diode with two different junctions)
