which on of the transformer have more core losses and why?
1. Distribution Transformer
2. Power Transformer
Answer Posted / guest
1. Distribution transformer have more core losses because they have more specific weight i.e. ratio of iron weight to copper weight.
2. these are not loaded fully at all time so iron losses takes place 24hr a day and these are more than copper losses.
