what is the difference in MCB, MCCB, RCCB, ELCB, & MPCB
(motor protection circuit bracker)

Answer Posted / souvik ghoshal

Mcb: miniature circuit breaker comes with max. 100A/10kA
rating earlier but but now it is available for 125A/16kA
rating. Based on thermal mechanism breaks the circuit under
short circuit condition.
Mccb: moulded case circuit breaker comes with upto
1000A/25kA rating. Based on thermal mechanism for overload
protection of load and magnetic mechanism for instant
tripping during short circuit.
Rccb: residual current circuit breaker, basically a kind of
ELCB which determines the difference between line and
neutral current, whenever it crosses the set value it trips.
Normally used in 3 phases while its single phase version is
known as RCD.
ELCB: earth leakage circuit breaker, basically used in DB
incomer is of two types, current operated and voltage
operated. In case of voltage operated one,the difference of
potential is measured between grounded spikes and terminal,
while in case of current operated one, you can call this a
RCCB.
MPCB: motor protection circuit breaker consist of separate
contactors used for protecting motors under over current
condition, which is generally caused due mechanical issues
of motors.

I'm generating a pulse of 3V with frequency 80Hz (12.5ms time period) and pulse duration 0.125ms and feeding it to a transformer since i want the pulse to get amplified around 60V. At the output amplification s happening but the pulse is changed to a spike, can you tell me what could be the reason? (an ordinary transformer 220V-12V stepdown transformer is reverse connected ie. now it is 12V-220V stepup and voltage amplification happens)

Assuming that a dedicated neutral earthing transformer is provided for each GT generator, when the two generators are running in parallel, has consideration been given that the earth fault current from one generator stator winding be split between the two neutral earthing transformers? If so, what adverse impact will this have on the operation of the 59N and 27TN devices?
