what is the weight of 8mm dia steel with 1 meter length.
Is there any formula to calculate the weight for any given
diameter

Answer Posted / malek

we could use the following formula which is : 617*(d^2) * (10^-5) >>>>>> d is a diameter of the bar ...

it will give the unit weight as kg , lets try 8 mm bar

unit weight = (64)*(617)* (10^-5)= .395=.4 :)
