If the Power Factor of generator is 0.85...What does this
mean and Can the motors connected to this generator operate
at PF more than 0.85 ?

Yes motor certainly can operate at better PF than the Gen.
Set as PF is the motor's very own property.
PF of a Generator only specifies about the generator's own
conditions and specs.
