No, we can add capacitor till pf=0.95 it will reduce the
line current so the losses and heating but it should not go
to leading side and if dg set running in parallel then pf
should be kept 0.9 so that stability and load sharing
should be proper.even i have used capacitors in dg so many
times successfully without trouble.
