NPSH IS ATERM USED TO MEASURE CAVITATION EXTENCE.
NPSH=Ha-Hv-Hs-hf
whre,
Ha=atm head
Hv=vapour press. head
Hs=section head
hf=friction loss.
and then it is further used to calculate THOMA'S CAVITATION FACTOR:
AS,(sigma)=NPSH/TOTAL HEAD
