what is rotatng magnetic field in case of three or multiple
phase alternating current machines???
Answer Posted / rajesh
when a 3 phase supply is passed into stator . the plot of
voltage vs time will give rise to resultant voltage .
this is then converted to magnetic field due to faradays law
. when u plot again u will get the resultant current . The
rotating magnetic field ( also magnetizing magnetic field )
has voltage current char similar to 3 phase supply . the rmf
is hypothetical concept to link field between stator and rotor
