the w/c ratio can be obtained from the empirical graph in the IS 456-2000 code book. the w/c ratio changes on the basis of required compressive strength and workability of concrete

how ratio is calculated for any grade of concrete. for e.g. sppose M20 requires(x;y:z) quantity of cememt sand and aggregate.
