if silica is removed from DM Plant completely from where the
silica come in Boiler Drum
Answer Posted / sandeeppa
Silica is never completely removed in DM Plant. It is still present though in very low concentration. When we feed this DM water to Boiler Drum, its concentration gradually increases. When it reaches to undesirable limit, we use external treatments like phosphate conditioning followed by effective blowdown. And the silica concentration is maintained to a limit so that it prevent to carry to STG.
