what is difference between fat & ntfs
Answer Posted / rahul sharma
ntfs stand for new technology file system ...security and quota options are available in this file system...volume size can be of 16eb(exa byte)and file size depends on the size of volume......
fat32 stand for fat allocation table....do not have any option for security and quota....support upto 4tb(tera byte)volume size and file size can be 4 gb max...
fat32 can be converted into ntfs without losing any data using command:
convert [drive letter]:/fs:ntfs
ntfs can not be converted into fat32 without losing data.
