Test Policy is defined at organisational Level :
Ex: Which are best process and procedures that needs to be
followed for Testing activity as a part of SDLC.
This also includes all the Global industry standards.
Companies which are CMMI Level( 1 to 5) are supposed to have
well defined test Policy which is mandatory for them to
be called as CMMI Level ( 1 to 5 )..
By Ensuring that company has a good test policy in place ,
It gives confidence to clients that company will execute
there there projects in the right approved industry
standards and process.
Test strategy :
These are defined at Project level based on the nature of
the project. Project management will refer to test Policy
while creating test strategy...
In other words,
Test Policy is Encyclopedia while Test strategy is an search
criteria within encyclopedia
