ACTIVE COMPONENTS:

The components which produce(generate) the energy in the
form of current or voltage are called as active components.
Example:transistors, FET,Op-amp,voltage source, current
source etc,.

PASSIVE COMPONENTS:

The components which store the energy or (consume the
power)in the form of current or voltage are called as
passive components.
example:inductors,resistors,capacitors etc,.
