We say that if voltage in a power system is increased, for a
constant power the current will decrease (by P=VI).
isn't this in disagreement with the ohms law(I propotional
V;resistant const.).Since the resistance of transmission
lines remains constant, shouldn't inc in voltage cause inc in
current across the transmission line?
I have read many articles across the net but still couldn't
this figure this out. :(
Guyz plz assist me with dis..:)..

Due to the demand of power line current will increase,
according to P=VI, whereas voltage will remain constant by
maintaining the AVR.

A powerplant has 8 gensets operating in grid parallel mode. In one genset sometimes there is pf variation and kvar variation. The plant operates in pf mode. When this variation is observed the load is stable, voltage is also stable, freq and genset speed is also stable. How will you check the functioning of pf card. What shall be the ideal output vdc of the pfc, from there it is input to AVR?
