what is the difference between Bug and Defect
Answer Posted / shanthi
Bug: It occurs during coding and is nothing but a mistake
done by the programmer.
Defect: It occurs during execution and is a result of the
mistake made by the programmer.
Thus a bug is a mistake in the code and a defect is a
result of the bug.
