can u write test cases for telephone?

If the interviewer asks you to write a test case for
telepone, first you should ask him, what is the requirement
and that is important before writing test cases for any
application, because lot of requirments are there for
telephone testing.so we can write test cases as per the
requirment.
Suppose if the requirement is for calling one person, We can
write test cases accordingly.
i)Lift the handset and check Dial tone is hearing or not
ii)if dial tone is hearing properly, then dial particular number
iii) if it is not hearing, disconnect it and try once more.
iv) after dialing the number, check whether call is ringing
at the other end.
V) If the call is ringing the call got connected and you can
speak to the person once he pick ur call.
Vi) if the person is busy at the other end, your call wont
get connected and it is engaged.
