A.V.R maintains the voltage of a generator when it is in
island mode but when the generator is synchronised with
grid it maintenance the P.F,how it happens please any body
explain it in detail.

in isjand condition the terminal voltage v is not constant, at that time avr maintain terminal v by increasing or decreasing exitation current. But in synchronised condition the terminal v get constant as the grid voltage, at that time the variable remains ICOS(THETA). So avr maintains p.f. at that time.
