Transformer is an electric machine that,
1> transfers electrical energy from one electrical
circuit to another,
2> dose so without a change of frequency,
3> dose soby the principle of electromagnetic induction,
4>has electric circuit that are linked by a common
magnetic circuit.

Brushes are placed at magnetically neutral axis,when brushes reach that point,the armature conductor gets shorted,but it can be seen that the dc supply is also shorted,wont that get damage? help me plz
