Plate Load Test is performed to determine the safe bearing
capacity of the soil.
The plate is placed and subjected to gradual incremental
loading. the Settlement at each incremental load is measured
and a Load v/s settlement Curve is plotted. thus the Bearing
Capacity of the soil is determined from the curves.
