The neutral acts as a current return path in normal operation while the earth or ground acts as a fault current path in the event a malfunction causes the active conductor to come in contact with a conductive part of equipment
Neutral:- It is return path conductor.
Earthing:-It is the connection of the conductor to the
general mass of the earth.
Neutral:- It provides return path to current to complete the
circuit.
Earthing:- It provides the path to short circuit/ fault current.
Neutral:- Advantage: for system reliability and voltage
stability.
Earthing:- Advantage: for the protection of human being and
equipment
