1.Modbus is a serial communication protocol developed by
Modicon published by Modicon® in 1979 for use with its
programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
2.It is used for serial communication between to electronic
devices like PLC and DCS.
3.Open architecture so there is no propritery roylti for
implementation so not costly
