why airline prefer beautiful girls for hostesses?

Its not that airlines look just
for beautiful girls, rather they
tend to hire presentable girls,
who can be approachable
and passengers will not
hesitate in talking to them.
Apart from that an airhostess
should also be resposible
because behind the curtain
of glamour there lies a tough
responsible job.
