1.) application layer which performs application ,
presentation , session layer functionalities
2.) network protocol layer which takes care of transport ,
net work layer activities
3.) device drivers layer which support dll & phy lyr...
so can maintain net work with 3 layer tech'lgy....
but it is little bit complex to maintain
