2. semi-open.
3. closed.
* each of the above three can be classified into
1.positive displacement.
2.non-positive displacement.
*positive are classified as
1.screw pump.
2.gear pump.
3.etc.
*again non-positive are classified as
1.centrifugal pump.
2.etc etc........
