How the real power output is controlled in a Generator?

in grid connected alternator the active power can be
controlled by prime mover input.
if prime mover input is increased, the active power
delivered to infinite bus rises because of the increase in
load angle as E shifts away from infinite bus voltage V.
P= (E*V*sin(delta))/X
X= synchronous reactance
delta= load angle
E=excitation voltage
V= terminal voltage/ bus voltage
