ram:temporary memory that the computer used to perform its
functions
->volatile memory->high speed->high cost->small in size
->when you shut off your computer,that information is gone
for ever
rom:permanent writing 2 a chip
->volatile memory->low speed->large size->low speed
->no way of over writing
