Which is better in VLSI-NAND or NOR implementation? why?
Answer Posted / hemant tulsani
NAND is better because
1. The 2 pmos transistors in series in case of NOR
implementation will make it slow becuse of low mobility of
holes which are majority carriers in case of pmos.
2. So to match the speed of the operation of Pmos to nmos,
the size of the pmos has to be increased. I results in
higher chip area consumption and hence higher cost.
