we all know that both the generator and motor are
electromechanical conversion devices.....then why we rate
motor in kw and generator in kva????
Answer Posted / kk
the motors are rated in Kw as we know the actual current
drawn by it at rated voltage and power factor in normal but
generator has to carry the load wich is not predifined and
type of load is also notr defined so generators are rated
in Kva
