when test engineer catches a bug it will be of one of the stages given below
duplicate:means the test engineer has sent duplicate bug
not a defect:test engineer says it's a defect but developer says it is not a defect.then test engineer has to justify that it's a defect
not reproducible:test engineer has sent a bug.developer says not reproducible because environment in which development is checking is different.To avoid this the environment specifications should be given by the tester.
can't be fixed:test engineer has sent a bug but developer says that it can't be fixed because technology is not supporting
fixed in future release:no time to fix the minor bug
or bugs found doesn't affect latest release
request for enhancement:test engineer says it's a bug development team says that it is an enhancement
