What is GNR ? How much value of ground neutral resistance?
Answer Posted / hardip dodiya
The Value of NGR is depend upon the System Fault level
Calculation as per given by Designer:
Purpose : To limit the Earth fault current and Minimize the
value of fault current.
To Protect Transformer Neutral: Due to Earth fault
Heavy current flow in Earth mate where Transformer Neutral
also solid illy Earth. There are chances of current Flow
into Neutral of Transformer at that time Resistance Value
of NGR is to prevent that current into Neutral Path. and
avoiding Triping of Trafo. That the Reason Resistance Value
to NGR is depends on MAX FAULT CURRENT of ANY SYSTEM DESIGN.
Please anyone have objection For my these answer.
