adhoc means not planned.adhoc testing is testing the application randomly.we do adhoc testing because if we do testing according to requirement the chances of catching bug is less and end user may use the application randomly and he may get a bug.so we do adhoc testing to catch bugs in the application. For example you login to gmail and logout and click on back the application wont go to inbox page.This is the example of adhoc testing.Another example of adhoc testing is when you login to gmail copy the url of the inbox page and paste it on notepad and then logout.After you logout copy the url and paste it.it wont go to inbox page.This is adhoc testing
