Governer is used to increase or decrease fuel supply so as
to maintain a constant speed in a generator or turbine.
Any change in speed will affect the frequency which is very
critical in power generators.
In a vehicle, you will manually control the fuel supply
using accelerator pedal but it can not be done in power
generators as you have to maintain constant speed
irrespective of load.
