It takes Axial load to keep the rotor in centre position.
it is the sacrificing mechanisum to protect the rotor
internals.(Axial clearences in the bearing is less than
Internal clearence of fix to moving parts.)

1) Any pipe line working fluid may water / steam on it one manual isolation valve suppose one side of valve 6 kg/ cm^2 pressure (i.e. up stream) and other side is “ 0” kg/ cm^2 pressure(i.e. down stream) . So how much Tourqe required for opening the valve in terms of Newton force wheather normal man can open this valve. (for reference pipe nominal bore is 100 NB )
