Actully Transformer has any no its power factor.Its power
factor depends on the connected Load with it.The connected
load may be inductive or capactive or resistive Load or
mixed of all .
Connected Load rating in KW
As KVA*Power Factor(COS A)=KW
Rating of Transfarmaer is always taken in KVA

advantage of motor design on higher power factor . normally motors are designed for .8 power factor. what is advantage of designing at .88 power factor
