according to me Hr planning includes the following steps:
1) number of candidates to be recruited for a particular
department or the manpower requirement for a function. The
planning part of it begins when we anticipate their entry
into the organisation and their attrition.so planning is
the buffer planning here of the candidates.A specified
terminology should be advised clearly to the candidates
that "you are a buffer candidate and we will use you if we
require".Planning should be, giving the candidate the
buffer time or date in specific before which if he is
communicated he is "in" or he is "out" of the 1st
recruitment cycle.Planning should be to conduct
the "recruitment cycle" atleast twice a year so as to
enhance the candidates chance for the company and on the
same hand another opportunity for the candidate to
appear.HR planning is straightaway related to buisness
planning...if the incoming buisness ceases the plans of HR
recruitment is to be affected.
2) HR planning constitutes of the welfare planning by the
department in the form of trainings,Activities and outings
etc.
3) HR planning includes keeping a "cost margin" for the
functions of employee retention.
4) Hr planning includes many more functions like the
presentation of KRA's ,appraisals and planning the inter
departmental job rotations.
5) Hr planning includes an evry day morning hurdle to be
taken by the manager for the day's tasks to plan the day
and henceforth the peirod of production by the department.
