what is diff. b/w of earth & neutral?. why we are
separately using ?
Answer Posted / pillay
For an electrical equipment to function the circuit must be
complete.Neutral is the return path of the circuit.wheres
the earth is a protection circuit. If for some reasons the
equipment or the circuit is faulty and there is a leakage
of electricity. It may harm YOU or somebody than the you or
the somebody must be protected against the shock or death
because of it. So a earth cable is connected to ground away
any leakages or shocks so the equipment is safe to be
touched, when you actually dont know there is a fault in the
equipment. The earth cable should be connected to all the
likely places the voltage can leak to and earthed with a
good earth otherwise it is no use. With no neutral the
equipment may not work but no earth the equipment can work.
