Batteries are connected in series to increase the
voltage.The current remains the same.Series circuit has one
path through which electrons may flow.
1:- Total current I= I1=I2=I3,and etc.
2:- Total Voltage V=V1+ V2+V3 and etc.
3:- Total Resistance R=R1+R2+R3 and etc.
Follow the above rules if batteries are connected in series
the Total voltage will be the sum of the voltage of each
battery and the Total current will remain the same in the
circuit.
Connecting batteries in parallel increase the current and
Voltage remains the same.When you boost your car,you just
connect the booster across yours battery.Because you need
more current and same voltage.
