what is difference between AC VVVF drive & Dc VVVF drive
explain their working principle?

Answer Posted / rawat

In AC VVVF drive we control the motor by changing its
frequency through drive. But in case of Dc drive there is
armature voltage and field voltage which are controlled by
scr's.
So there is no frequeny in case of dc drive as here dc is
not changing into ac.

how does the terminal voltage of transmission lines increase when a capacitor is connected???? This happens not only in transmission lines but also in all circuits. How??? When a capacitor is connected in a transmission line, capacitor also takes energy from the same supply. But how is it able to increase the terminal voltage??? ii) A shunt motor supplied at 230V, runs at 900 rpm when the current is 30A. The resistance of the armature is 0.4 ohms. Calculate the resistance required in series with the armature to reduce the speed to 600 rpm, assuming that the armature current is then 20A. [12]
