In India 25KV AC traction is used. But in Mumbai as of
December 2010, from Mumbai CST to Kalyan; Mumbai CST to
Panvel [Central Railway] & Churchgate to Borivali [Western
Railway] is 1.5KV DC Traction....
The section from Churchgate to Borivali [Western Railway]
will shortly be converted to 25KV AC... & after some years,
Even the other 2 sections wil b converted...
