Now it must be noted that in a generator the prime mover
torque is applied against the direction of electromagnetic
torque . the field system prodeuces the field flux and 90
lagging to it is produced the armature flux . the resultant
air gap flux somewhere between the two , all the three
fluxes revolving in the same counterclockwise direction and
hence the required electromagnetic torque is set up in the
counterclockwise direction and hence the primemover torque
is applied in the clockwise direction .

A 400 V, 50 Hz, Δ connected synchronous generator has a field reactance of 0.1 Ω and armature resistance of 0.015 Ω. At full load, the machine supplies 1200 A at 0.8 pf lagging. Under full-load conditions, the friction and windage losses are 40 KW and the core losses are 30 KW. What is the machine’s overall efficiency? Ignore any field circuit losses.
How equivalent impedance is calculated in thevenin theorem?
1 “earthing” for bonding of equipment and circuits to common plant earth electrode potential, 2 “protective earthing (PE)” when this bonding is required for personal safety provisions 3 “grounding” for interference suppressing bonding of screens, sys-tems with ground level 4. low-impedance earthing ? 5.primary earthing system and secondary earthing system what is that? 6.earthing electrode or mesh net earthing electrode ? very confusing , simple but very informative help required ? i will be very very thankful to you guys.
