What is the basic difference between Latches and Flip flops?
Answer Posted / harpuneet singh
The latch is used for certain types FF. It refers to non-clocked FF,because these FF 'latch ON' to 1 or 0 immediately upon receiving the input pulse called SET or RESET.They are not dependent on clock signal for their operation,i.e a latch is a sequential device that checks all its inputs continuously & changes its outputs accordingly at any time independent of a clock signal.
